Política de uso de IA
In accordance with COPE guidelines and the ethical standards of the Heredia Declaration, Administración & Desarrollo permits the use of AI based on clear criteria of responsibility, transparency, and academic rigor. The following conditions are established for its proper use:
1. Responsibility and Human Authorship
Authorship of works published in the journal rests exclusively with individuals. Only human beings can assume intellectual creation, decision-making, and ethical and legal responsibility for the presented content. For this reason, AI systems—including language models, conversational assistants, or automatic content generation tools—cannot be recognized as authors under any circumstances.
2. Transparency in AI Use
The use of AI must be explicitly declared in the manuscript, whether it was used for literature review, data processing, preliminary writing, analysis, text editing, or any other stage of the research or writing process. For example, the use of AI for the discussion or conclusions is not acceptable. The declaration must be clear and allow for an understanding of how the tool intervened. This information must include, at a minimum:
-
The name of the AI model used, its version, and the date of use.
-
The specific purpose for which the tool was employed.
-
A description of the AI-generated outputs that were incorporated into the manuscript.
-
The corresponding citations and bibliographic references for the AI model or resource used, whenever possible. The objective of this declaration is to guarantee the transparency, reproducibility, and traceability of the research process.
3. Responsibility for the Accuracy and Quality of Content
The use of AI does not exempt authors from their obligation to verify the accuracy, relevance, and originality of the information included in the manuscript. It is the responsibility of those signing the article to:
-
Examine and validate any AI-generated content (e.g., "hallucinated" or ghost references).
-
Avoid the reproduction of errors, biases, misinformation, or unsubstantiated claims.
-
Ensure that the resulting texts are critically reworked to produce original knowledge rather than simple automatic reformulation.
-
Guarantee that no plagiarism, self-plagiarism, data fabrication, or other misconduct related to the inappropriate use of AI occurs.
4. Editorial Review
The journal reserves the right to request additional clarifications regarding the use of AI, require manuscript adjustments, or reject texts that do not comply with this policy. Inappropriate use or concealment of AI intervention may be considered an ethical breach and lead to relevant editorial actions. To avoid high AI-writing percentages in reports generated by Turnitin, authors are requested to refrain from using AI models for copy-editing their manuscripts.
