A schumpeterian contribution towards studying cooperation between firms: complexity, chaos and routines as enhancers

Contenido principal del artículo

Sergio Berumen Arellano
This article focuses on the need for cooperation amongst companies. Clustering is an expression of inter-organisational cooperation which has been studied in depth by NeoSchumpeterian thinking and specialises in the flow of products, services, capitals, workers and knowledge amongst the different agents comprising countries¿ production sectors. Forming clusters provides each participating agent with a series of advantages which they would hardly achieve if acting separately. Companies can obtain greater flexibility and a more efficient and accurate access to new knowledge through cooperation applied to the many activities involved in the value chain, - all of which could redound to optimising competitiveness.
